Bandai Namco has revealed that a demo for Project Cars 2 is now available for you to download and play. The demo has been created to give players a taste of the variety of racing scenarios offered in the full game, with the ability to drive the Ferrari 488 GT3, Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4, and Formula Renault 3.5 at the laser-scanned Red Bull Ring. The three car types were selected to offer both a glimpse of the diverse motorsport disciplines, as well as the sublime physics and handling of the in-game vehicles. The scenarios in the demo are geared to provide players with escalating challenges in varying conditions, and the two tracks highlight the weather simulation that racers will encounter in Project Cars 2. The demo features graphical enhancements for owners of the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro consoles, as well as the extensive virtual reality support in the PC version of Project Cars 2. These improvements will also be incorporated into an upcoming update for the full game.

Additionally, the first of the planned expansion packs for Project Cars 2 will also be released in winter of 2017. The “Fun Pack” will come with two new tracks and eight new cars, all designed to bring sideways-action fun to Project Cars 2.

  • The two new tracks are: Circuit De Barcelona-Catalunya Rallycross, and Brands Hatch Rallycross Historic.

  • The eight new cars include two current WRX runners: Matthias Ekstrom’s Audi S1 EKS RX Quattro, and Petter Solberg’s Citroën DS3 RX Supercar.

  • Three rides from professional drifting world champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. include The Ford Bronco “Brocky”, Ford Mustang RTR Spec – 5D, and the Mustang '66 RTR.

  • Three Group B legends: The Ford RS200 Evolution, Renault R5 Maxi Turbo, and Audi Sport quattro S1.

  • The “Fun Pack” will also include vehicle liveries from six major eSports racing teams—BAM, Oscaro, Team Redline, Virtual Drivers by TX3, JapSpeed Racing, and F4H Motorsport. This marks the start of Season 4 for Project CARS eSports which will include new championships, and more eSports liveries coming to the game in future updates.
