The Last Remnant Remastered Arrives on PlayStation 4 Today

News: A remastered RPG from Square Enix makes its first appearance on a Sony platform today.

The Last Remnant Remastered is now available on the PlayStation 4 from Square Enix. The Last Remnant was originally released during the previous generation as an Xbox 360 exclusive, so this is the first chance for PlayStation gamers to try out this role-playing title. Originally released in 2008, this remastered version features beautifully enhanced graphics enabled by Unreal Engine 4, creating a more immersive and captivating experience than ever before.

The Last Remnant tells the story of a world filled with “Remnants” – ancient artifacts that grant mysterious power to their wielders, changing the world’s balance and leading to an era of countless frays between those who ruled, and those who obeyed. Within this war-torn fantasy world, players will follow the journey of a young man, Rush Sykes, who is determined to uncover the truth and rescue his sister, Irina, with his new band of comrades.

Players who purchase The Last Remnant Remastered will also receive a special PlayStation 4 system theme that includes game-themed menu icons, music, and character art. You can check out a video showing those off, along with a trailer for the game itself, below.
