News: Return to the American Revolution and fight for freedom as both Conor and Aveline de Grandpré.

Assassin’s Creed III Remastered and Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered are now available from Ubisoft. These titles are available as a standalone purchase (both digitally and physically) or you can get them as a free bonus by having the season pass for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Please keep in mind that both games are included in one package. If you go to your favorite video game store the only thing you will see on the shelf is Assassin’s Creed III Remastered. Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered is included though as you will see when you immediately boot up the game, they just only advertise Assassin’s Creed III Remastered for some reason so don’t let that confuse you. Similarly, if you are trying to download this on Xbox One or PlayStation 4, you will only see Assassin’s Creed III Remastered on those marketplaces but again, it includes both games.

Developed by Ubisoft Barcelona, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered features single-player content in 4K and HDR on PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X, and Windows PC. The vision was to bring this classic game to match the quality of the current Assassin’s Creed games by taking advantage of newer technology. With increased model improvements and Physically-Based Rendering (PBR), Assassin’s Creed III Remastered displays more visually accurate images using real-world light and material properties, making the world feel more alive.

Experience the Assassin’s Creed universe on the eve of the American Revolution and play as Connor, the warrior son of a Native American mother and British father. As the bloody revolution draws near, your clan is threatened by a powerful group seeking to crush the American Revolution and control the thirteen colonies. After the devastation of your village, you pledge your life to preserve freedom. Unleash your deadly skills in a decades-long quest that will take you from the chaotic city streets to blood-soaked battlefields in the hostile American wilderness and beyond. Explore colonial Boston, New York, the frontier and various naval missions, meeting legendary American heroes as you conspire to annihilate all those who threaten Liberty.

Assassin’s Creed III Remastered includes Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered. The year is 1765. While the seeds of the American Revolution are being sewn in Boston and New York, Spanish forces in the South plot to seize control of Louisiana for the Templars, threatening to forever shift the balance of power in the New World. As Templars secretly take hold of the slave trade in New Orleans, Aveline de Grandpré, an assassin of mixed French and African heritage, stands ready to defend her people. She soon finds herself on an unforgettable journey that will take her from the crowded streets of New Orleans to voodoo-haunted swamps and ancient Mayan ruins. Whether eliminating her enemies with new assassination skills or luring them into cunning traps, Aveline strikes mortal fear into the hearts of those who would stand against freedom.

Additionally, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered will be available on the Nintendo Switch system from May 21st. It is available today on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Will you be playing Assassin’s Creed III Remastered and/or Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered? If so, did you get them from the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey season pass or buy them a la carte?
