News: Fans have been waiting a little while for the first raid to appear and according to Ubisoft we will get our first shot at it this week.

”Division

The first raid in Division 2 is almost upon us as Ubisoft has revealed that it will arrive this week on Thursday, May 16. The raid is titled “Operation Dark Hours” and will become available at 6PM CEST / 12 PM EST / 1AM KST / 2 AM ACT on Thursday. A raid team will feature eight people being split up into two groups of four. The person who creates the group will be the designated leader and he will be the only person that can start the raid. When you are ready to go you need to visit the helicopter that is outside of the White House on the helipad. If you don’t know where that is the helipad is to the right of the White House as you enter the base of operations.

Operation Dark Hours is part of the endgame content and as such you can’t just pick up the game today and jump into the raid on Thursday. You will need to go through the campaign and get your character to level 30. Once you have done that you will need to work to get your character’s gear score to at least 490 and you need to be at World Tier 5. This takes a while to do so if you just recently started Division 2 the chances are very high you won’t be able to participate in this raid for a little while. It should be pointed out that you don’t need a full party of eight players to initiate the raid, however, the overall difficulty will not scale according to how many players are present. In other words, having a full party is ideal for getting the most out of this experience as the level of difficulty will be scaled towards eight players, whether you have eight players or not.

There will be a number of different rewards for going through and completing Operation Dark Hours. There will be an exotic weapon, new gear sets, and some vanity items. There will also be a new set of commendations that will become available with the raid, with each one having the reward of a unique arm patch. If you happen to be on the first team in the world that clears this raid you will also receive a special reward. It is called “Race to World First” and by accomplishing this feat your team will be immortalized in everyone’s game of Division 2. The first team that successfully goes through this raid will be immortalized in the White House in a special painting that will be placed one one of the White House walls, near the Clan room. This painting will be visible to everyone so even if you never participate in the raid you can look at the picture of the team that did it first. All eight players and their usernames will be featured in the painting which will give them bragging rights over everyone else as it relates to Operation Dark Hours.

According to Ubisoft the timer for the raid will reset on a weekly basis. What that means is that you can go through the raid when it is released on Thursday and get all of the new gear and other items but you’ll have to wait until it resets for the next week to do it again. You can go through the actual raid as many times as you want, however, you can only gain the aforementioned items once a week.

Check out the trailer below for Operation Dark Hours and tell us what you think. Will you try and be the world’s first? Are you even eligible yet to go through the raid?
