Destroy All Humans is back with a remake of the original 2005 title according to THQ Nordic. Destroy All Humans is currently in development for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. There was no mention of a Switch version in the announcement. For Destroy All Humans they decided to use Unreal Engine 4 to make sure the game looks the best it can. With the announcement of this remake comes a couple of questions.
What is the development team keeping the same?
The story from the original returns with its unique 50s alien invasion story and dialogues full of quirky humor.
What is being updated?
Crypto will be easier to control than ever. He is now more agile, his aerial combat skills have improved. His psychic skills can also now be used in unison with his guns. There is also a new Psychokinesis. The development team described this as “...ever wondered what’d happen if a Jedi had a love child with the Goat Simulator?”.
For those who aren’t familiar with this franchise, the premise is below:
”Terrorize the people of 1950s Earth in the role of the evil alien Crypto-137. Harvest DNA and bring down the US government in the remake of the legendary alien invasion action adventure. Annihilate puny humans using an assortment of alien weaponry and psychic abilities. Reduce their cities to rubble with your Flying Saucer! One giant step on mankind!”
Some of the key features in Destroy All Humans will include the following:
Experience the evil side of a 50s alien invasion story
Faithfully rebuilt from scratch in new galactic glory
Enjoy Crypto’s unique weaponry like the Anal Probe Gun
Pose as pathetic humans to infiltrate their fragile democracy
Use psychokinesis to send enemies flying or bombard them with random objects
Freely traverse explorable cities from 50s America using your jetpack
Obliterate humanity’s primitive architecture with your flying saucer
Includes the restored, much-rumored, never before seen: Lost Mission of Area 42
Destroy All Humans will be released in 2020, marking the 15th anniversary of the Destroy All Humans franchise. Will you be picking it up when it comes out? Tell us what you think below.
