Blazing Chrome Releases Gameplay Trailer Ahead of Next Month’s Release

News: A new side-scrolling shooter is almost here that pays homage to the era where titles like Contra were originally released.

Blazing Chrome is getting ready to arrive on consoles and PC next month according to publisher The Arcade Crew and developer JoyMasher. To help whet your appetite a new gameplay trailer has been released to showcase some of what you can expect once the game becomes available. For those who might not be familiar with Blazing Chrome, it is a enemy infested run-and-gun platformer. Think of something along the lines of Contra and you should get a good idea of what you are in for with this title.

The trailer that was released today showcases hidden characters within the game. Fans who unlock the new characters within the game will get ‘Suhaila’, a razor girl with a robotic arm or the skilled and deadly ninja ‘Raijin’. Suhaila introduces fast-paced, side-scrolling and vertical gameplay while Raijin allows has you trying to out-fire, out-maneuver and out-wit your various metal-encased enemies.

The new characters are armed with entirely new ninja based weaponry where you can harness a deadly katana, jump higher and use dash, creating a completely new combat experience in a Contra-esque setting.

Blazing Chrome takes you back to some of the golden days of side-scrolling shooters with some modern touches that help to make the gameplay feel as precise as it does authentic to the era it is representing. You can tear through six highly varied stages that are filled with deadly, bullet-spewing AI as Mavra, a lone human resistance fighter, or the rebellious robotic insurgent Doyle.
