Modius Games has recently shared an in-depth look at Trine 4 which is getting ready to launch in the next few days. Trine’s cunning thief Zoya, brave knight Pontius, and wise wizard Amadeus will each master new tricks as they reunite for Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince’s engrossing tale: Zoya will add elemental arrows to her quiver and levitating capabilities to her versatile rope; Pontius’ trusty blade will pack a shocking charge while his shield enables dream-like replicas of itself, and Amadeus will learn new conjurations plus a teleport-esque blink ability.
Players are free to tailor their journey through Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince to their liking through each hero’s distinctive skill trees. The game’s puzzles change depending on how many players are in a party, too; go it alone for total control and on-the-fly hero swapping, enjoy the series’ classic three-player design, or take on chaotic fun in the series’ first four-player multiplayer mode, where any combination of duplicate heroes is fair game.
Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince will arrive as a standalone experience, but thorough adventurers can experience this charming fantasy universe’s full story by picking it up via the Trine Ultimate Collection, which includes Trine Enhanced Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, and Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power.
Digital pre-purchases are now available for Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince and Trine: Ultimate Collection on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam, and GOG. Users who pre-purchase Trine: Ultimate Collection on PlayStation 4 will get instant access to Trine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, and Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power. All digital pre-orders will also include launch day access to the bonus DLC level Toby’s Dream.
Take a look at the new trailer that was just released and tell us what you think. Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince will arrive on October 8th on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. Will you be picking it up?
