Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition on Nintendo Switch Receives New Feature

News: You can now play Devil May Cry 3 more seamlessly with the new addition to the Nintendo Switch version.

Devil May Cry 3 is heading to the Nintendo Switch in February and it will have some new features. The first new feature will be that you will have the ability to seamlessly switch combat styles while on the fly. The newly confirmed seamless style switch option allows players to choose between the six combat styles in the game, four of which are available to start and two more which are unlocked as players progress. This new gameplay feature will offer more fluid combat options and create opportunities for exciting new stylish combos. A sneak peek at the new gameplay feature will be shown in an accompanying livestream (see below) on the Devil May Cry social media channels.

Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition brings the full stylish action package to Nintendo Switch, offering the addition of Vergil as a playable character and the 9,999 floors of the “Bloody Palace” survival mode. The system’s handheld mode offers the added flexibility of playing on-the-go for the first time.

”Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition serves as a prequel for the iconic action series, unfolding years before the original Devil May Cry. This origin story explores the journey leading up to and culminating in Dante’s face-off against his twin brother, Vergil. Dante must use his trademark sword Rebellion and dual pistols Ebony and Ivory to stop Vergil from unlocking a gate to the demonic realm and infesting the world with demons. Along the way, players will gain insight into many aspects of the series, from the first encounter with fan-favorite Lady, as well as the beginnings of Dante’s titular shop.”

Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition is now available for pre-purchase from Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch for MSRP $19.99 with a special promotion for early bird customers. North American players who pre-purchase Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition for Nintendo Switch will get a 50% discount on purchases of Devil May Cry and/or Devil May Cry 2.
