Two Point Hospital is going to arrive on consoles in a little under a month. To help whet your appetite for the spiritual successor to Theme Hospital, the developers have decided to show a rare look at how the game has been rebuilt for consoles (it was released on PC in August 2018). They redesigned it to take advantage of a controller and it supposedly runs really well on one.
Some of the questions that are asked and answered in the below video include the following:
What exactly do you do in Two Point Hospital?
What’s new or different on console?
How does the game work on a controller?
These are some of the questions that get addressed in the video as Ben Huskins (Lead Designer) and Lauren Woodroffe (Senior UI/UX Artist) from Two Point Studios show off the first level of the game from the PlayStation 4 version.
When the game launches in February console gamers will gain immediate access to the first two DLC packs that have been released on PC with “Bigfoot” and “Pebberly Island” respectively. There are also a whole range of updates that have been added to the PC version since its launch in August 2018.
You can now pre-order Two Point Hospital digitally on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. You will also be able to pre-order it on the Nintendo Switch eShop, however, that option is not available at the time this story was posted. You can also pre-order the physical edition at your favorite game store. Additionally, if you are an Xbox One gamer and have Game Pass you will be able to download Two Point Hospital for free when it launches in February.
Two Point Hospital is scheduled to be released on console on February 25, 2020. Check out the aforementioned video below and then tell us what you think. Are you excited to play Two Point Hospital on Xbox One and/or PS4? Or will you pick up the Nintendo Switch version so you can play it anywhere?
