News: Google has just secured a really big partner that will bring some of the industry’s biggest titles to their platform.

”EA”

Google Stadia finally released to the general public a few weeks back and they are taking steps to fill their platform with titles that people want to play. Earlier today Electronic Arts announced a partnership with Google that will do just that...putting some of their popular titles on the Stadia service. To start out with EA revealed that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, EA Sports FIFA, and Madden NFL will find a home on Google’s streaming platform. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will arrive at some point in 2020 with FIFA and Madden arriving at some point during the holiday season. Unfortunately, that means there is a bit of a wait to play these titles on Stadia but hey, at least they are coming.

“Cloud is opening up exciting new possibilities for play,” said Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts. “In partnering with Google Stadia, we have an opportunity to deliver some creative and innovative game experiences on an exciting new platform.”

"We’re thrilled to see some of Electronic Arts’ biggest hits come to the Stadia. I can't wait to play EA Sports FIFA, Madden NFL, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on my favorite screens instantly with the simple click of a button," said Phil Harrison, GM and VP at Google.

In addition to those three titles, EA revealed that more games will arrive on the Stadia platform in 2021, however, they declined to mention any specific titles. For those who might not be familiar with Google Stadia, it is a new cloud-based streaming platform that lets you play your games pretty much anywhere you have a good internet connection. Madden, for example, can be played on your phone, on your laptop, on your PC or any other place that the Stadia platform is available. Because it is a streaming platform there are no big installs for you to download or lengthy patches to worry about. With the standard tier you can have games running up to 1080p and 60 FPS or go with the Pro tier to get up to 4K, 60 FPS, and HDR. The standard tier is free while the Pro tier does have a monthly subscription (although the month of May is free for everyone). Pro members also receive “free” games to play, similar to what is seen with the Games with Gold and PlayStation Plus programs.

Will you be playing EA games on Stadia when they launch later this year and in 2021? Tell us what you think below.
