News: A sneak peek at the next Call of Duty has been revealed with the official worldwide reveal arriving on August 26.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set to be released later this year according to Activision. While the official reveal for this game will take place next week, a teaser trailer has been released to whet your appetite and fuel speculation over the next few days.

As the title suggests, this new Call of Duty takes place during the cold war and highlights the conflict between the USA and USSR. There were some chilling quotes throughout the teaser trailer and it is actually kind of scary how some of it mirrors certain events that have taken place over the last few years.

"At the height of the Cold War, KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov issues a chilling warning". "He claims a Soviet spy codename: 'Perseus' has infiltrated Western intelligence. His goal: Subvert the US to ensure Soviet dominance in the arms race."

That is one quote in the video that gives you a sneak peek into what we will be dealing with later this year when Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is released. It also reminds us of the saying that if you don’t learn from history you are doomed to repeat it. The video also states that the events in the game were inspired by real events.

There isn’t any official word yet on what platforms this game will be on but I feel it is safe to assume Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Whether it goes to any other platforms remains to be seen and, hopefully, we get that answer sooner rather than later.

Take a look at the teaser trailer below and then tell us what you think. Will you be picking up Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War when it launches later this year?
