News: For years fans have been asking for a game that was like WWF No Mercy and WrestleMania 2000, and now AEW might be giving us one.

”AEW”

All Elite Wrestling has just revealed that they have three games in development, one for consoles and two for mobile. The console game is probably what most people are going to be interested in and it looks like it is going to be in the same style as WWF No Mercy. They even Hideyuki Iwashita a.k.a. “Geta” to work on this game. For those you might not know Mr. Iwashita, he was the director for WWF No Mercy when it was released on the Nintendo 64. Having him at the tell for this yet untitled AEW Wrestling game can only mean good things. Additionally, it was revealed that AEW is working with Yukes to develop their first console game.

No release date or time frame was given by AEW for when we can expect to play this title. Kenny Omega did hint that it would be available for both current-gen (Xbox Series X/PS5) and what is now the previous generation of consoles with Xbox One and PS4. They didn’t specifically mention any platforms though so it could potentially be on Switch, PC and/or Stadia as well but that is pure speculation at this point.

Check out the teaser trailer below that shows off a really early look at how this game is going to be and then tell us what you think. Are you excited for an AEW game?
