News: This new patch gives the same some overall stability, as well as fixing a quest bug and the save file size limit on PC.
Cyberpunk has not had the smoothest launch since it was released approximately two weeks ago. In the best case scenario there might be some graphical glitches, with the occasional crash. In the worst case scenario though, it is locking up systems, the frame rate is dropping to a damn near unplayable number, there is constant crashing, save files getting corrupted and more. Regardless of which camp you fall into, it isn’t an ideal situation.
CD Projekt Red is working to correct these issues and more as quickly as they can. We will see a couple of massive updates in January and February respectively, however, a brand new one was just released today that should hopefully help you out if you have been running into one of the aforementioned problems. The items that were fixed in today’s patch include the following:
Quests
Dum Dum will no longer go missing from Totentanz entrance during Second Conflict.
Console-Specific
Improved memory management and stability, resulting in fewer crashes.
PC-Specific
Removed the 8MB save file size limit. Note: This won’t fix save files corrupted before the update.
