News: The best baseball game on the market, MLB The Show, has finally arrived in the Xbox ecosystem.

MLB The Show 21 is now available on Xbox Game Pass. This is a day Xbox gamers have been anticipating for a long time, having a true baseball simulation title available to play. No disrespect to RBI Baseball and similar titles but those aren’t quite on the level of MLB The Show. It has been a PlayStation exclusive for a very long time but it was announced back in 2019 that thanks to MLB, The Show would arrive on Xbox platforms “as early as 2021”. Well, it is Spring 2021 and now baseball fans have the best baseball game available to play on their Xbox.

MLB The Show 21 offers quite a bit for baseball fans to enjoy. You can just play baseball and have fun with it and then be done or really dive deep into some of the details as you build your own team or start from the bottom and work your way up to the majors. If you want to experience that journey you will want to play through “Road to the Show”. For the first time in this mode, your ballplayer can be a two-way player, meaning you can be a hitter and a pitcher. This creates some new flexibility in player position options. You will be able to create your own player, develop your skills as you work through the minors, and then eventually get signed by a Major League team and, hopefully, go on to a Hall of Fame career.

Diamond Dynasty is another mode that has been popular over the years. This mode is where you can try and build your dream team from the crowd up. Similar to the “Ultimate” modes that EA Sports titles tend to have, you have cards here that you can use to build your team. You will be able to play single-player or online with more than 150 legends such as Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron, Ken Griffey Jr., Babe Ruth, and more. You will be able to mix these legends and hall of famers into your lineup with today’s players and try to create your perfect team. You will gain experience points by playing anywhere within MLB The Show 21 which will allow you to unlock rewards in some limited-time promotions. These rewards can help customize your look and upgrade your team. There are different bat skins to purchase as well as different uniform options. There is also an online Community Market where you can spend your Stubs (in-game currency) or grab the latest pack. When you first start up Diamond Dynasty mode you will want to be sure to grab your free Diamond player Roberto Clemente. You can add this Hall of Famer to your team but he will only be available to acquire in this manner until April 26th.

Then of course you have the mode, March to October. The baseball season can be really long and if you don’t have the time to play 162 games, you can jump into this mode and bypass a lot of that. You will jump into the game when your team needs you the most during critical moments. Your performance in these games will be important as each game you play will swing a “team momentum” factor, influencing how your team plays between each moment that you need to step in to help. This mode is basically all about getting your team to the postseason so that you can make a run and hopefully become World Champions.

A brand new addition in MLB The Show 21 is a feature that fans have been requesting for years. You can now create your own ballpark with the Stadium Creator feature. You will be able to customize your stadium with more than 1,000 props ranging from buildings, signs, foul poles, and so much more. The development team also created specific stadium kits that will range from fantasy to realistic, which will make it easy to create the layouts, wall heights, dimensions, and more while being able to use these created stadiums in both Diamond Dynasty and Franchise modes. You will also be able to go online and share, edit, and play stadiums created by the community. You can get as deep into this as you want or just put together a stadium quickly so that you can get back to the action.

MLB The Show 21 is available on Xbox One as well as Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Utilizing Smart Delivery, you will automatically download the appropriate version. So if you are playing on an Xbox One, that is the version you will download on Game Pass. If you are using an Xbox Series X, that is the version you will download. In addition to being on Game Pass you can also buy the game as it won’t be in the Game Pass program forever. The Xbox One version will cost you $59.99 with the Xbox Series X|S version costing $69.99. There is also the Jackie Robinson Edition which contains both versions for $84.99 along with some extras such as extra card packs, 10,000 Stubs, and more. Don’t forget that you will also receive a discount when buying the digital version if you are a Game Pass member.

MLB The Show 21 is also available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 at the same prices I mentioned above. Will you be downloading MLB The Show 21 on Game Pass? Will you be purchasing the game? Take a look at the trailer below and tell us what you think.
