News: Right now you can supposedly earn reward points by unlocking an achievement in an original Xbox game that doesn’t have achievements.

”Xbox”

Microsoft currently has a promotion running on Xbox where you can get free 500 Microsoft Rewards points by earning an achievement. The catch is you need to earn an achievement in a game that is on a list they give you. This time around the list is about “animal antics” and features the following titles:

  • Grounded (Game Preview)

  • Ori and The Will of the Wisps

  • Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection

  • Blinx The Time Sweeper (OG Xbox game)

  • Maneater

  • Mighty Goose

  • Ark: Ultimate Survivor

  • Tunic

  • Omno

  • Paw Patrol Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay!

  • The interesting thing you should notice in this list is the inclusion of Blinx The Time Sweeper from the original Xbox. Games on the original Xbox do not have achievements. With that being the case, why is Blinx on this list? Is it a simple mistake? Whenever a promotion like this is put together I’m sure it has to be approved by a number of people, so having everyone make this mistake seems unlikely. Is it a hint that some original Xbox games might be getting achievements in the future?
