News: The price for the PlayStation 5 has just gone up in a number of different countries due to challenging business conditions.
Earlier today Sony revealed that due to global conditions, the PlayStation 5 will be increasing in price in select markets. These global conditions include high global inflation rates and adverse currency trends that are impacting everyone and creating pressure on different industries. The price increase will happen in select markets across the following territories:

Japan - Effective September 15, 2022

PS5 (Digital) - ¥49,478 yen (including tax)
