News: A new action RPG is now available that is an ode to classic side scrollers as well as hack and slash.

Astlibra Revision, a 2D action RPG is now available on Steam. Astlibra Revision was developed by Keizo and has been in development for 14 years. That long development cycle has produced meticulously crafted worlds, brutal boss battles, and upgrade abilities that will allow you to take on all of the challenges that you come across.

Broken up into multiple chapters, you will follow the protagonist and his trusty talking bird companion Karon as they travel through time. With more than 60 hours of content, players can explore its main missions and unique dungeons, all while uncovering a multitude of secrets.

Astlibra Revision is an ode to classic side scrollers. You will hack and slash enemies in a variety of locations featuring graphics by Shigatake of Vanillaware. You can customize your playstyle by becoming a fierce warrior master swords and bows or by being a mage that will utilize a staff and magic. You can earn experience and force after defeating each enemy which will allow you to upgrade your skills and equipment. This will give you a better chance of overcoming difficult bosses, each with its own unique set of challenges and strategies.

Once the final chapter ends, complete the postscript which introduces new story missions and new ways to upgrade skills and equipment. Astlibra Revision features six difficulty modes for all kinds of players to fit their own pace or to challenge themselves.

Astlibra Revision launches on PC today for $24.99 with a 10% launch discount. Some of the key features in the game include:

  • Travel Back to the Golden Age Of JRPGs: Hack and slash through countless enemies, mixing up your strategies to overcome any foe.

  • Forge Your Character: Master several forms of combat, from swords and bows to magical abilities. Craft weapons and armor and wear them throughout combat to ultimately master them.

  • Vanquish Almighty Creatures: Face an ensemble of fierce and deadly god-like bosses, all with their own unique challenges to overcome.
