News: A new roguelite has just arrived that encourages customization and an adventure that you can enjoy solo or with friends.

”Lynked:

For those in the market for a co-op roguelite, Lynked: Banner of the Spark is now available on Steam via the early access program. Lynked: Banner of the Spark features kinetic combat and some deep gameplay systems that allow players to customize their experience. To help celebrate the arrival to Steam’s early access program, Lynked: Banner of the Spark is available for 10% the normal price of $24.99 until October 29.

The premise for Lynked: Banner of the Spark is below:

It’s the year 30XX, and the world has been overrun by the dominating Combot forces. To fight back, players must rescue sympathetic robot allies—the Unibots—who will populate their town and help them craft special armaments to enhance their power and survivability. In true roguelite fashion, the challenges will steadily increase with each mission into Combot territory, but players will be able to take breaks from the action to personalize their town, form relationships with their new robot friends, and gather the resources they need to fuel their revolution.

“When we started FuzzyBot in 2020, we were nervous but also thrilled to create something of our own,” said Max Spielberg, FuzzyBot cofounder and game director. “We wanted to build something filled with optimism and joy, and we hope Lynked is able to carry that message forward. We hope players enjoy what we built here; it’s a big game with a whole lot of heart.”

“The FuzzyBot team is a talented, creative bunch with a ton of experience, and that shows through completely in Lynked,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Dreamhaven. “They’ve created something filled with personality and surprises, and they’re very in tune with what players are looking for. We’re proud to be working with them and excited for everyone to get their hands on the game.”

Even though it is in early access, there seems to be a substantial amount of content already in Lynked: Banner of the Spark. For starters, there will be 24 campaign missions, which makes up the first four chapters of the game. This goes alongside repeatable side quests as well as a bunch of upgrades, special abilities, gear, town customization options, and more. Those who purchase the game and reach the town after completing the tutorial during this early access period will receive a special thank you, the Lobster Claw livery, Dragon Goodbot, and Buddy Bean Bag Chair, to adorn your characters and liven up your city.

Additionally, from now through November 5, players can unlock even more in-game cosmetics by watching someone play the game on Twitch. To gain these cosmetics all you have to do is link your Twitch and Steam accounts and then watch your favorite streamer play the game in early access.

Some of the key features in Lynked: Banner of the Spark include:

  • Enjoy High-Energy Hack-and-Slash Action: Fight through fast-paced missions against the Combot threat. Get the edge on enemies with mid-run power upgrades, or discover a new weapon to swap in. As they make progress, players will unlock a deep arsenal of gear and abilities to suit their playstyle.

  • Turn the World Into a Weapon: Use the handy grappling claw, the Wyre, to execute flashy combos, hurl environmental objects, and throw enemies into deadly traps.

  • Build, Gather, and Craft: Expand the town by completing runs and enlisting the help of robot allies. In-town systems such as gathering, fishing, and farming provide resources to upgrade weapons, spark powers, and more.

  • Play Solo or Join Forces With Friends: Go on combat missions in teams of up to three players. Each player can take a specialized fighting role to complement the team and succeed in challenging boss battles. Back on the homefront, up to five players can help the host player tend to their town.
