Natsume Inc has just revealed that the newest game in the Reel Fishing franchise, Reel Fishing: Days of Summer, is now available. This new game is available on all console platforms so regardless of where you play, you can check out this new fishing title.

This new game in the long-running series is the ultimate fishing trip as you join three good friends as they spend their last days of summer together with one last fishing trip. Catch over 40 species of fish from 14 different fishing locations and craft over 70 different kinds of tackle to lure the rarest of fish. Players can keep fish in a beautiful aquarium while leveling up and gaining new and exciting skills.

"For gamers who are already missing the warm summery weather, they can enjoy some Summer fishing fun with Reel Fishing: Days of Summer," said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO of Natsume. "The Reel Fishing franchise has offered more than 25 years of photo realistic fishing fun and with Days of Summer, today's players can experience the realism and fun that the original game offered while enjoying all of the state of the art features of current gaming consoles."

Celebrating more than 25 years of the photorealistic fishing series, Reel Fishing was first released on PlayStation in North America in October 1997 and is included in PlayStation's Greatest Hits collection, making it one of the console's top-selling games. Since then, Reel Fishing has launched on numerous consoles including DreamCast, Nintendo 3DS, Wii, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch but the fishing video game has always retained its classic photorealistic style. The most recent title, Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure, featured JRPG-inspired gameplay and was released on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2019. Reel Fishing: Days of Summer will be the next installment in the long-running series.

Check out the launch trailer below and tell us what you think. Reel Fishing: Days of Summer is available on Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Will you be playing it?
