Defender’s Quest 2: Mists of Ruin, the sequel to the tower defense game from developer Level Up Labs and publisher Armor Games Studios, is available now on PC via Steam. Defender’s Quest 2: Mists of Ruin will also arrive on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, along with Nintendo Switch, at a later date.
Hope for survival lies in the hands of two factions: hardened mercenaries known as The Hunters, and an eccentric rival crew of pirates known as The Stars, led by fearless captain Ketter Star. Protect the once-thriving oasis known as The Shining Lands before it completely succumbs to Mirk, an aggressively spreading callous toxic gas decaying everything it touches.
Evni Hunt leads her crew of Hunters through an onslaught of approaching creatures driven mad by the Mirk. Recruit new allies and level up crew members to master customizable builds and discover life-saving synergies between deployed units. Position allies strategically, and take advantage of their distinct strengths. Equip laser cannons, spears, hammers, and more to target pesky Pinchbugs and other powerful creatures.
Weave character development in between each wave with a narrative written by BAFTA-nominated Xalavier Nelson Jr. (El Paso: Elsewhere, I Am Your Beast), and establish relationships as hearty as the physical defenses surrounding the crew ship. Expend all resources to survive in a main campaign spanning six to ten hours of tactical gameplay.
“We’re finally getting to incorporate so many ideas we’ve had over the past 12 years since the first Defender’s Quest launched,” said Lars Doucet of Level Up Labs. “We are incredibly excited to bring this game forth to new and longtime fans around the world. We can’t wait to see how creatively fans survive the Mirk and The Shining Lands!”
