News: Gex fans will be really happy to hear that the Gex trilogy is being released on modern hardware with quality of life improvements.

Limited Run Games has released the first trailer for Gex Trilogy, and announced that it will be launching for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, beginning this summer.

Gex Trilogy brings three classic platforming titles from the wise-cracking Gecko’s glory days to modern consoles powered by the Carbon Engine, packing together Gex’s best-selling adventures. Gex, Gex: Enter the Gecko, and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko have been lovingly remastered with improved controls, updated visuals, trophy and achievement support, and more.

The Carbon Engine is Limited Run Games’ in-house, proprietary engine for bringing retro games to modern platforms through emulation. Designed for the most wholly authentic experience possible, the Carbon Engine presents the games you love in just the way you remember.

Gex Trilogy adds rewind and save state options, allowing players to quickly correct any platforming missteps across all three games, while both Gex: Enter the Gecko and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko have new widescreen support. Players looking to relive the best of Gex will also be treated to a Music Player featuring tracks from all three games, a Media Viewer with promotional material and artwork, and even a brand new behind the scenes interview with HBO comedian Dana Gould, the voice of Gex in the USA.

About Gex

  • TV Out-of-Control: Gex has been sucked into the Media Dimension, the place where cheesy 70's movies go to retire. To escape he's gotta kill TV's in each world.

  • One Smooth Gecko: Over 450 frames of smooth 3D animation and hand-rendered backgrounds!

  • A Sticky Situation: Gex jumps and sticks to everything while thrashin' secret levels in search of elusive remote controls.

  • About Gex: Enter the Gecko

  • Gex Goes 3D: Huge Media Dimension Levels all designed as sarcastic parodies of popular TV and movies.

  • Over 125 Slick Gecko Moves: Whip-cracking tail attacks, flying karate kicks, tongue grabbing and climbing up walls!

  • Master of Disguise: GEX sports a secret agent suit, kung fu uniform, spacesuit and other costumes.

  • About Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko

  • Unique Character Mechanics: Scuba diving, gliding, machine gunning, fire-ball hurling and more!

  • Over 25 Disguises: Private GEX, GEX Capone, Count DracuGEX and more!

  • A Secret Secret Agent: The secret playable characters available in the original game are all included for gamers to unlock.

  • Gex Trilogy launches both physically and digitally for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch starting from Summer 2025. Take a look at the trailer and tell us what you think. Will you be playing it this summer?
