Special: Snake is so solid; we have to stretch it out over a whole week!

For many of us PlayStation 2 owners, last week was a great one; the release of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Easily the most anticipated game by PS2 owners everywhere, MGS2 has a lot to live up to, and quite a vast history behind it. Now that the game is in our hands, we all know the greatness of it, and how important the game may wind up being a few years down the line. And now, Sony Target is presenting a week dedicated to the man, the myth, and the series of Metal Gear games.

Now I'm sure you're thinking; why do a Metal Gear week the week AFTER the release of MGS2? Easy. To give you a much more informative and detailed review of MGS2, we put Snake's Special Week back to give time for extended playthroughs of this hot game, to get past the initial excitement and hype, for a more calm review. But no matter, Metal Gear week is here and you're invited to come along for the ride, granted you can keep in the shadows and not alert your presence to the various guards around. After all, you don't travel with Snake unless you can keep quiet!

So, what does Sony Target have planned for you this week? Read on and find out.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of LibertyаReviews:
Yes, that's right, we have a pair of reviews this week for you; one at the beginning of the week to kick things off, and one at the end of the week to wrap things up. Such a huge game deserves more than one viewpoint, so that's what you get!

Metal Gear Solid Review:
Since we at Sony Target can't talk about Metal Gear without mentioning the game that made the series popular; we will be presenting you a review of the game, hoping to focus on how great and important the gameplay is, and not on the dated visuals. And hopefully it will convince those still on the fence after 3 years to finally play one of PSOne's greatest games.
Metal Gear Solid: PSone Review

Biography: Hideo Kojima:
Hideo Kojima of course is the uber-cool creator and producer of the Metal Gear series; but there is a lot more to the man besides that. This week we will present a biography on the man, leading up to the greatness that is his Metal Gear series.
Hideo Kojima: Behind The Snake

The History of Metal Gear:
I hope you didn't think that Metal Gear started with MGS, correct? In this installment of Metal Gear week, we will present the history of the series, from its early days on MSX, to the ridiculous Snake's Revenge game, to the present, when Metal Gear Solid is one of the most influential and beloved games ever made. We'll cover it all.
Metal Gear Solid: Past, Present, & Future

Just keep coming back to Gaming Target and Sony Target to see the latest piece in our big Metal Gear week; and enjoy!
