News: The NES will never, ever, EVER, be forgotten by gamers.

Nintendo of Japan announced today that they are bringing ten classic NES games to the GBA. They also plan?to?re-release the NES style GBA SP that was only available in Japan last year as part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the NES. And like that original NES, this version of the GBA SP will come with Super Mario Bros. and retail for 12500 yen (about $120).

The games will retail for 2000 yen (about $19) and?all of it?is?scheduled to release?on February 14 in Japan. Here's the full list of games:

  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Donkey Kong
  • Ice Climbers
  • Excitebike
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Pac-Man (Namco)
  • Xevious (Namco)
  • MappyLand (Namco)
  • Bomberman (Hudson)
  • Star Soldier (Hudson)

It's interesting to note that many of these games are available for Nintendo's e-Reader peripheral already. There's no word yet on if these games or the NES styled GBA SP will ever come to America. But I can leave you with a great picture of it:
