Jadakiss brings controversial lyrics to G-Phoria: Jadakiss brings Bush-bashing lyrics to the video game arena, linking President Bush to the September 11th terrorist attacks. Comcast doesn't hit the reset button.
It seems like Jadakiss just doesn't get it and Comcast doesn't seem to care. The controversial rapper raised eyebrows by using a УmetaphorФ in his new song УWhy,Ф which asks УWhy did Bush knock down the towers?Ф Despite complaints, radio station edits and a clean version being played on MTV, Jadakiss is still carrying those lyrics linking President Bush to the September 11th terrorist attacks.
The latest incident occurred at the G-Phoria video game awards on G4TechTV. As Jadakiss performed УWhyФ with the controversial words intact, key lyrics were displayed in the background on giant video monitors, at one point reading УWhy did Bush knock down the towers?Ф in large white letters. Comcast, the cable provider and owner of the station, decided not to edit the Jadakiss performance even though there was a two-week delay between the awards taping and the actual August 6 airdate. The awards were then repeated on the E! Entertainment channel two days later without editing as well.
The remainder of this second-annual G-Phoria awards show was less surprising in terms of winners, although Anna Nicole Smith almost lost her top to falling straps on her dress. But, gamers weren't flashed in the end, so Jadakiss remained the only boob hanging out that night.
