News: The Last Job is about a gang of thieves looking for one last score, I'm shocked.
Acclaim has revealed details on another of it's behind closed doors projects as they once again dive into the criminal underworld with The Last Job. The Last Job takes a cue from every heist movie ever made and places the player in a gang looking to make one last big score before hanging it up. The game is being developed by Acclaim Studios Cheltenham for the PS2 and the Xbox and right now it's scheduled for a Spring 2005 release.
"The Last Job is an exciting new Acclaim brand that captures the drama, thrill and mystique of committing the type of high-priced crimes that have been the subject of popular feature films," said Marc Metis, Senior Vice President of Brand Management for Acclaim. "The Last Job promises to be a title with truly breakthrough gameplay elements."
Acclaim has said that the game will revolve around four members of a gang, each with a different set of skills. Over the course of their "last job" the gang will hit such locales as warehouses, yachts and the sorting rooms at a race track. The group will eventually try for the big score at a museum exhibition.
We'll have more on The Last Job and the rest of Acclaim's criminal rap sheet soon.
