News: Counting the days, Elf-style
Slovakian game developers 10tacle Studios are raffling off calendars featuring artwork from their upcoming fantasy RPG Elveon. Interested players need only subscribe to the game newsletter (at the game's official website) by the February 8th deadline. Winners will then be chosen and their names posted on the site the following day.
Elveon is set in an ancient world in which four scattered Elvish races long for the unity they lost when their gods abandoned the material world. As an elite warrior-monk, the player combines extraordinary weapons skills with magical abilities to create an individual fighting style in a quest to return the Elves' lost glory. Along with this epic-scale story, Elveon offers an innovative combat system with unlockable attacks, realistic physics modeling for weapons, and the possibility of learning new skills along the way from other characters. Players can expect 10tacle to wring plenty of next-gen goodness out of the Unreal 3 engine: early gameplay footage shows impressive landscapes and character models along with realistic physics simulations of water, clothing and hair.
10tacle Studios is known for racing games including GTR, GTR 2 and GT Legends. Also, 10tacle's alternate-reality WWII RTS, War Front: Turning Point, is scheduled for release in February 2007. War Front asks the question Уwhat if Hitler had died early in the war?Ф Apparently the answer is base-building, tech trees, resource gathering and giant robots.
Elveon is slated for a Summer 2007 release on the PC and Xbox 360.
