News: Win this ticket to ride and you'll be back in the USSR

In honor of their upcoming free ?Battle for Moscow? add-on for Theatre of War, Battlefront.com and the 1C Company are giving away a few days in Moscow. Players have the chance to win a round-trip ticket, two nights in a luxury hotel, and the chance to meet developers from the 1C company. All they have to do is capture great in-game moments, edit them into a prize-winning video, and post the video on Battlefront's YouTube channel.

The video can be made with the demo or the full game and can be humorous, action-packed, or could feature the game's great graphics and landscapes. There are no pre-set categories, so anything goes. The one rule is that all footage come from in-game. Beyond that, it's ?let the best video win.? Community vote will narrow down the videos to ten finalists, and judges at Battlefront and 1C will pick the final winner. Runners-up will win posters or t-shirts.

Theatre of War was developed by the 1C Company and released in the US in April by Battlefront.com. It's an RTS set during WWII, and it includes five extensive campaigns totaling over forty missions. It appeals to realism-hungry strategists with its extremely detailed ballistics, damage, and morale systems. The Battle for Moscow add-on features ten brand-new missions from the German and USSR perspectives and a new map editor that will give modders more control over custom mapmaking.

The contest ends August 7, 2007.
