News: Tune in, turn on, check it out
Auran is giving gamers 60 free hours to get them hooked on the new MMO, Fury. All it takes is a free registration and a download and you'll be ready to log on when the trial starts at noon PST on Friday, July 27th. They're signing up 200,000 new accounts, but there's no word right now on how many are still available. The trial ends at midnight on Sunday the 29th.
Fury is a MMO with a fantasy setting, but before you yawn, know that this game blends RPG elements with the pacing of a first-person shooter. Expect to see an emphasis on the PvP in a variety of arenas and venues set up for individual and team play. Expect a well-developed magic system with plenty of different spells. And expect to be able to customize and advance your character Уwith a richness and depth never before seen or attempted in a pure PvP game.Ф Tony Hilliam, CEO of Auran, had to say about the game:
УWe took a big risk by setting out to make a game that throws away the MMO hand-book. We took all the rewards, loot and character advancement from the MMO genre and crammed them into an adrenaline filled, fast paced combat game. People hear the word MMO and say Сbeen there, done that'. But they haven't played Fury.Ф
Australian-based Auron games has been making games independently for more than ten years before signing with Gamecock for distribution. Members of their team have worked on Asheron's Call 1 & 2, Star Wars Galaxies, and Ultima Online. Auran is also currently at work on turning Battlestar Galactica into a game for PC and Xbox 360.
Expect to experience the full Fury in October of 2007.
