News: The Rogue Squadron developer is coming home.
When Factor 5 president Julian Eggebrecht called the Wii "essentially [a] GameCube 1.5" in Electronic Gaming Monthly a few years back, it was assumed that the honeymoon between Factor 5 and Nintendo was over. And with the company's commitment to the PlayStation 3 and Lair, it didn't look like they had any desire to deal with the Wii's inferior graphical capibility.
But with Lair turning out to be a bomb, the bad feelings have melted away as IGN is reporting that Factor 5 has "at least one" Wii project in development.
Speaking with Julian Eggebrecht himself, Factor 5's president confirmed the game will not be for the Virtual Console and that it won't use the Star Wars: Rebel Strike (Factor 5's last GameCube game) engine.
We'll hopefully have more on Factor 5's Wii project soon.
