News: Battlefront.com proves its mettle, once again, with the 'uber patch.'
WWII afficionados and RTS gamers, rejoice: the Uber Patch is now ready for download. It adds plenty of maps to both single-player and multiplayer modes. It also corrects a slew of issues that gamers have experienced with the game. The sticklers for detail who complained about the line of sight calculations in the original release will be happy to hear that the system has gotten an upgrade to take into account things like plants and leaves. Issues with multi-core and hyperthreaded CPUs have been fixed. There are plenty of gameplay fixes, including adjustments to the behavior of the air support. Multiplayer load times have been improved. And the burning times of vehicles has been increased, for anyone interested in that sort of thing.
