News: It's the end of an era.

Back by popular demand, it's Gaming Target's regular debunking of the latest batch of Surfer Girl rumors. However, this will be the last installment of Gaming Target Reviews Surfer Girl because, frankly, it's just not fun anymore. How hard is it to debunk rumors like "A Resistance 2 trailer will be released this month" or "Microsoft will announced Gears of War 2... um... soon!"

She's not even trying anymore. Now then, on to the rumors that were present in her post Hensleigh:

Surfer Girl says: Guitar Hero Aerosmith will rock this way in July. Unsurprisingly, Guitar Hero IV: [insert superfluous rock subtitle here] is out in Rocktober. As previously reported by the internet, Guitar Hero On Tour is out in June. There is a fourth title (as previously reported by EGM) that is "an action-packed Guitar Hero experience like no other" or, in English, it is different from the other Guitar Heroes. Also, those universally loved boss battles are returning.

Our verdict: Possibility. Guitar Hero IV is coming this fall. Activision has confirmed as much. But I'll believe GH: Aerosmith when I see it. As for the rest, I guess we'll see.

Surfer Girl says: Facebreaker will KOing in Soctober/Blovember.

Our verdict: Duh. EA just announced FaceBreaker without a specific, but that it was coming in 2008. So the fact it's going to be released during the holiday season isnot surprising at all.

Surfer Girl says: Sony's will be launching a greatest hits line for PS3 soon with Resistance, Warhawk, and Motorstorm to start.

Our verdict: I don't even want to waste my time explaining why this is painfully obvious.

Surfer Girl says: Microsoft thinks that a sequel is worth paying for the exclusivity of despite knowing nothing about it (aside from the title) and team behind the original is not really doing the sequel.

Our verdict: Who cares? This is so vague as to be useless. Is she talking about Dead Rising 2? Lost Planet 2? Dead or Alive 5? Katamari 5? Ace Combat 7? BioShock 2?

If it's a sequel to a game that sold ridiculously well in the first place, wouldn't "We want to make a sequel" be all Microsoft needs to know?

Surfer Girl says: Prior to THQ shutting down their acquired automotive franchises, Stuntman: Demolition and a Juiced game were in the works for the Wii, via Locomotive Games and Juiced Games, respectively. Both were the best incarnations in their respective franchises, but the series were not too great so that claim does not carry much weight.

Super Girl also says: SuperVillian's PSP fl0w is simply astounding (like thatgamecompany's version), hopefully the game will actually come out this month (it is about two months late already). The first must-have downloadable title for PSP, unless it gets pushed back again.

Our verdict: Again, who cares? Surfer Girl has claimed she has played at least half dozen games in the last month developed by companies all over the world. Either Surfer Girl is spending a lot on airfare or companies are sending playable demo code from unannounced games to someone with no name.

If that's actually happening, someone would have gotten fired (and blabbed about who Surfer Girl is) a long time ago.

If you're interested in all of our articles debunking Surfer Girl, you can find them here, because unless Surfer Girl comes up with something really nutty, there's not going to be any more.
