According to Microsoft's own Aaron Greenburg, PS3 will dominate NPDs for February and March:
We definitely expect we will trail in February as a result of our supply constraints. By April, we will be in a very healthy inventory situation.
Theories as to why the Xbox 360 is not in full supply at retailers are running rampant all over the internet with the most coveted one being severe red-ring of death problems. While no one but Microsoft can say for sure what is up, here is to hoping the Xbox 360 can get back into the ring and we can have a healthy dose of "my NPD is bigger than your NPD" again.
In the meantime, soak it up PS3 fans. Wii fans... you stay on your own side of the fence (just kidding, Wii love you too).
