Ubisoft details Shaun White Snowboarding @ Gaming Target

Days after winning a gold medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics, Shaun White and Ubisoft struck a deal to create Shaun White Snowboarding. Today, more than two years later, Ubisoft has announced at their Ubidays conference that Shaun White Snowboarding will be coming to the PC, PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 late this year.

Shaun White Snowboarding will actually be two games, one built for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 using the Assassin's Creed engine and another specifically built for the Wii and a Wii Balance Board control option.

Shaun White on the "HD consoles" and the PC will feature an open world mountain and an always-online method of play that populates that mountain with other real players. The Wii version, in addition to Balance Board suuport, will include an exclusive Story Mode:

You and your crew travel the world to participate in a variety of the largest and craziest events to become a world-renowned athlete. Life on the road to success wouldn't be the same without the support of your friends, who will always be there to help you out and keep your head on your shoulders. Stand together with your friends ? both in the game and in the living room ? and you will be able to conquer the madness that fame brings.

Both versions of the game will include input from Shaun White himself to make sure each game is "infused with authenticity, personality and humor." We'll have more soon.
