News: iPhone and iPod Touch owners can now download these classic Taito games.
Among the seemingly millions of game apps within the iTunes Store are two Taito classics, Space Invaders and Cooking Mama. Both were released today for the iPhone and iPod Touch; Space Invaders for $4.99 and Cooking Mama for the slightly more expensive price of $6.99.
Cooking Mama is said to use the multi-touch screen and accelerometer for enhanced cooking action, which should help this interactive game translate well on the iPhone. It also promises brand new dishes as well as old favorites from previous console and handheld installments.
Space Invaders also features variety of controls. There's on-screen, touch and drag and tilt methods of guiding your lone ship in its fight against the alien horde. Screen modes of color, toggle background, cellophane overlay and monochrome are listed as another set of assortment options.
