News: Green Day finally rock out in Rock Band.

Today is a good day, as Harmonix has announced that next week's batch of additions to the Rock Band Store will include the first Green Day Track Pack. An eight-song pack featuring artists from the Mayhem Festival will also be included in the update.

The Green Day Track Pack is made up of three songs from the band's latest album, 21st Century Breakdown. The three songs are "21 Guns", "Know Your Enemy" and "East Jesus Nowhere".

The pack will be available to download on Xbox Live on Tuesday, July 7 (for 440 Microsoft Points) and on the PlayStation Store (for $5.49) on Thursday, July 9. The tracks will also be released individually for $1.99 each on the PS3, 160 Microsoft Points ($2) each on the Xbox 360 or 200 Wii Points ($2) each on the Wii.

Harmonix will also release an eight-song megapack featuring artists from the RockStar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. The eight tracks that will be included in the pack are:

  • Behemoth - "Conquer All"
  • Black Dahlia Murder - "What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse"
  • Cannibal Corpse - "Hammer Smashed Face"
  • God Forbid - "Empire of the Gun"
  • Job for a Cowboy - "Embedded"
  • Marilyn Manson - "Disposable Teens"
  • Slayer - "Black Magic"

Like the Green Day tracks, the Mayhem Festival Track Pack will be available on the Xbox 360 (for 1,080 Microsoft Points) on Tuesday, July 7 (for 440 Microsoft Points) and on the PlayStation Store (for $13.49) on Thursday, July 9.
