News: Jack White's new band rocks out in the Rock Band Store.



A few weeks after saying that it's "depressing" that kids today learn about music through Rock Band and Guitar Hero, Jack White's latest band, The Dead Weather, will be headlining this week's additions to the Rock Band Store. Three songs from the group's debut album, Horehound, will appear as part of The Dead Weather Pack 01...

  • The Dead Weather - "Hang You From the Heavens"
  • The Dead Weather - "No Hassle Night"
  • The Dead Weather - "Treat Me Like Your Mother"

    Two other track packs, one from defunct indie rock band Big Dipper and one from metal gods Judas Priest, will be added this week...

    Big Dipper Pack
  • Big Dipper - "All Going Out Together"
  • Big Dipper - "She's Fetching"
  • Big Dipper - "Younger Bums"

    Judas Priest Pack
  • Judas Priest - "Dissident Aggressor (Live)"
  • Judas Priest - "Eat Me Alive (Live)"
  • Judas Priest - "Prophecy (Live)"

    All three packs will be available to download from the Xbox Live Marketplace on July 14 and from the PlayStation Store on July 16. Each pack will be priced at $5.49 (or 440 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360) while individual songs will be priced at $1.99 (or 160 Microsoft Points) each.



    Harmonix has also announced that 33 "back catalog" tracks (including the Pixies' album Doolittle) will be added to the Rock Band 2 Store on the Wii. The songs will be available July 14 and will push the total number of songs available on the platform to 380.

    Each track will be available to download for 200 Wii Points ($2):
