News: Can I get the first details of Jonathan Blow's next game? Yes I can.
Jonathan Blow, the developer behind the critically acclaimed Xbox Live Arcade and PC game Braid, has announced the title of his next project.
Titled The Witness, the game will be an exploration-puzzle game that takes place on an uninhabited island. It's unknown which platforms the game is being developed for, but Blow has said it'll appear on multiple platforms. Which ones? Well... "whatever makes sense in late 2011, when the game will hopefully be finished". So it looks like it'll be a long time before someone can get a witness.
Finally, Blow describes the game as "very visual" and has launched a
teaser website that includes a poetic description of the game.
Wait a minute. The Witness is a game that is "very visual" and is an "exploration-puzzle game that takes place on an uninhabited island"? Jonathan Blow is obviously working on a new game in the
Myst series!
Ok, that was a bit of a joke. But if he is working on a new Myst game, you heard it here first.
Hopefully we'll have more soon.
