News: More Tony Hawk, Spider-Man, Shrek and James Bond games are on the way.

Activision has used their quarterly conference call to reveal a preliminary look at some of the games they plan to release in 2010. While the delays of Singularity and StarCraft II were well publicized, the company is also planning new entries in many of its biggest franchises

But first, Mike Griffith, President and CEO of Activision Publishing revealed that Blur would be released this November:

"In November, we'll release our new racing game, Blur, from Bizarre Creations. Blur had a strong showing at E3 as well, including the nomination for best racing game. We're excited to be entering this genre and we think the game itself sets us apart from the competition and will establish a new franchise for the company."

Griffith would go on to confirm five games that are in development for 2010, including a sequel to this Fall's Tony Hawk: Ride:

"We will launch new games based on James Bond, Tony Hawk, and Spider-Man, along with games supporting the theatrical releases for DreamWorks [Shrek Forever After] and How To Train Your Dragon."

Nothing else was revealed about the games, but a previous conference call confirmed the James Bond game Activision has planned for 2010 will be a driving game developed by Bizarre Creations. And while it was unsaid, you can be sure a vanful of Guitar Hero are in development for a 2010 release as well.

Finally, Griffith announced that two map packs will be released for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 after its November 10 release on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. No release date for either map pack was given, but downloadable content for Call of Duty: World at War was not made available until five months after the game's release. So don't expect more Modern Warfare 2 content until next Spring at the earliest.

We'll have more on all things Activision soon.
