News: Along with a quartet of classic rock singles.



Harmonix has performed their weekly update of the Rock Band Store and this week's additions include a track pack from Damon Albarn's other band, the Gorillaz.

The animated alter egos of the Blur frontman will appear in the store as part of the Gorillaz Pack 01, which will be added to the Xbox Live Marketplace on the Xbox 360 today and to the PlayStation Store on the PS3 on Thursday, August 13. The pack will be priced at $5.49 (or 440 Microsoft Points) while all of the tracks will be offered individually for $1.99 (or 160 Microsoft Points) each. The pack will contain the following songs:

  • Gorillaz - "Clint Eastwood"
  • Gorillaz - "Feel Good Inc."
  • Gorillaz - "Re-Hash"

    Joining the Gorillaz Track Pack will be a quartet of single tracks from The Band ("Chest Fever (Live)"), Jefferson Airplane ("White Rabbit"), Janis Joplin ("Piece of My Heart") and The Who ("Magic Bus (Live at Leeds)"). They will be available to download for $1.99 (or 160 Microsoft Points) each.



    The Wii Rock Band Store for Rock Band 2 will receive another massive update this week as Harmonix attempts to catch it up to the PS3 and Xbox 360 stores. 25 more tracks will be added, including songs from Blink-182, Weezer, Lenny Kravitz and The Steve Miller Band. Each track will be available to download for 200 Wii Points ($2) each:

    Finally, the PSP Rock Band Store for Rock Band Unplugged will receive two new tracks, "The Number of the Beast" and "The Trooper" from Iron Maiden. The tracks will be able to be downloaded for $1.99 each when they're added to the store on Thursday, August 13.
