News: This week's tracks are Runnin' Down a Dream with Mr. Tom Petty.



While there won't be any new Track Packs this week, Harmonix has revealed that they will be adding seven single tracks in their weekly update of the Rock Band Store. This week's additions will include songs from Tom Petty (including "Runnin' Down a Dream", which will be featured on the Guitar Hero 5), Fleetwood Mac, Billy Idol and Jet.

The seven songs will be available to download individually for the standard price of $1.99 (or 160 Microsoft Points) each. The tracks will be released on the Xbox Live Marketplace on Tuesday, August 25 while PlayStation 3 owners will get a chance to download them on Thursday, August 27.

The seven songs are:

  • Billy Idol Ц "Mony Mony"
  • Billy Idol Ц "Rebel Yell"
  • Fleetwood Mac Ц "Don't Stop"
  • Fleetwood Mac Ц "World Turning"
  • Jet Ц "She's a Genius"
  • Tom Petty Ц "I Won't Back Down"
  • Tom Petty Ц "Runnin' Down a Dream"



    The Wii Rock Band Store for Rock Band 2 will receive another massive update this week as Harmonix attempts to catch it up to the PS3 and Xbox 360 stores. 23 more tracks will be added (which will push the Wii Rock Band 2 Store past 500 songs), including songs from The Foo Fighters, The Grateful Dead and White Zombie. Each track will be available to download for 200 Wii Points ($2) each:

    Finally, the PSP Rock Band Store for Rock Band Unplugged will receive two new tracks, "She's Not There" from The Zombies and "Black Sunshine" from White Zombie. Each track will be able to be downloaded for $1.99 each when they're added to the store on Thursday, August 25.
