News: The end to the Tiberium saga gets a new name.
Electronic Arts announced Command & Conquer 4 a few months ago and promised that the final chapter in the Tiberium saga would be released for the PC in 2010. Now, they've gone and announced the game's nifty subtitle. Drum roll please...
The game is now known as... Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight.
The title was chosen through a naming contest sponsored by developer EA LA. The game's new (and awesome) boxart can be seen to the left. Although Kane looks rather vampire-like wouldn't you say? I'm sure the inclusion of the word Twilight in the subtitle is just a sparkly coincidence.
"Our sophisticated fans are a tremendous community with a great love for the series. We really wanted to involve them in Command & Conquer 4 Ц what better way than to have them create the title?" said Mike Glosecki, Lead Producer on Command & Conquer 4 at EA Los Angeles. "We were blown away by all the creative names they came up with but the most popular selection, Tiberian Twilight, seemed the best fit, embodying that the saga is coming to a powerful and epic conclusion."
We'll have more soon.
