News: El Presidente is back in power this October.
Kalypso Media has announced they will be publishing Tropico 3 for the PC and Xbox 360 on October 16. But if you don't want to wait that long, the company will make a PC demo available on September 7.
Tropico 3 is Kalypso's first foray into game publishing on the Xbox 360. The game is said to be similar in style to the original Tropico as players guide the dictator "El Presidente" through the day-to-day operations of running a banana republic on a Caribbean island in the 1950s:
Tropico 3 goes back to the roots of the hit strategy series closely following the original Tropico story-line. Tropico 3 is being developed by Haemimont Games who previously developed the popular Imperium Romanum and Grand Ages: Rome for Kalypso Media.
