News: Pearl Jam's latest album arrives on Rock Band the same day it arrives in stores.

Pearl Jam is releasing their ninth album, Backspacer, exclusively to Target stores today. However, they have also partnered with Harmonix to ensure the entire album is downloadable on the Rock Band Store as well. This marks the band's second full album download that has appeared on the store.

All 11 tracks from the Backspacer album will be included on the Backspacer full album download. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners can download the full album for $17.99 (or 1440 Microsoft Points) while PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 owners can also download individual tracks for $1.99, 200 Wii Points or 160 Microsoft Points per track. The 11 songs are:

  • "Gonna See My Friend"
  • "Got Some"
  • "The Fixer"
  • "Johnny Guitar'"
  • "Just Breathe"
  • "Amongst the Waves"
  • "Unthought Known"
  • "Supersonic"
  • "Speed of Sound"
  • "Force of Nature"
  • "The End"

The Backspacer tracks have a bit of a staggered release schedule as Xbox 360 owners will have the chance to download the tracks beginning today, September 20. Wii owners will have to wait until Tuesday, September 22 while PS3 owners will finally get the chance to download them on Thursday, September 24.

Pearl Jam and Target are also selling a special edition of Backspacer that will include the album on CD and a download code that will allow PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers to download all of the album's tracks to their hard drives.

In addition to Backspacer, Harmonix is adding two new tracks to the PSP Rock Band Store for Rock Band Unplugged. They are "Wake Up Dead" from Megadeth and "Flat Head" from The Fratellis. Each track will be able to be downloaded for $1.99 each when they're added to the store on Thursday, September 24.
