Ubisoft promised gamers that their complaints about the original Assassin's Creed would be addressed in development of the sequel. With strong review scores, it appears that Ubisoft has made good on their promise and gamers have returned the favor by purchasing Assassin's Creed II at an even faster clip than before.
According to Ubisoft, gamers around the world have purchased 1.6 million copies of Assassin's Creed II in its first week of availability. This represents a 32% increase over the roughly 1.2 million copies Assassin's Creed sold during its first week in stores.
