News: And still no mention of Grand Theft Auto V.
Take Two held their quarterly financial conference call yesterday and delivered some bad news to anyone hoping to play Max Payne 3 in the next few months. Originally scheduled for a release this Winter, the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 return of Max Payne has now been pushed back to a Fall 2010 release. Specifically Take Two's fiscal fourth quarter, which runs from August 1, 2010 through October 31, 2010.
However, there is some good news for fans of the Take Two-published, RPG/FPS hybrid Borderlands. During the call, Take Two's chairman, Strauss Zelnick, revealed that "[Borderlands is] showing every sign of becoming an important, long-term franchise" to the company. While not official, that's more or less corporate speak for "Borderlands 2 is in the works."
We'll have more on Max Payne 3 (and hopefully Borderlands 2) very soon.
