News: Duke Nukem must be behind the wheel of GT5.
Destructoid recently sat down with SCEA Associate Producer Chris Hinojosa-Miranda and managed to sniff out a tentative release date for Gran Turismo 5.
According to Hinojosa-Miranda, Polyphony Digital's next "Real Driving Simulator" is currently penciled in for a Summer 2010 release. Which means that the earliest we'll be playing Gran Turismo 5 is June and that it's possible the game won't be released until the end of August. Of course, as with all tentative release dates, it may be released during some other time period completely.
When Gran Turismo 5 finally races onto store shelves next Summer, it will be more than two years after the release of
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and more than five years since the game was initially announced.
Will it be worth the wait? It's too early to tell, but PS3 owners will get a chance to test drive the game when the Gran Turismo 5
Time Trial Challenge is added to the PlayStation Network on Thursday, December 17.
We'll have more soon.
