The Spike TV Video Game Awards were last night and while my congratulations go out to the winners, the big news of the night was the twelve world premiere trailers that introduced us to 2010's most anticipated games.
The biggest surprise of the night was without a doubt the debut of Batman: Arkham Asylum 2. Once again developed by Rocksteady, Arkham Asylum 2 is likely just a working title as the action has spilled out onto the streets of Gotham. Warner Bros. has also opened up the game's official site at ArkhamHasMoved.com, but as of right now it's just a placeholder site.
Other geek favorites were also on hand to make their world premiere at the show including Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II (now with double lightsaber action) and Tron: Evolution.
The trailer for The Force Unleashed II, Unleashed2010.com, is a pretty clear confirmation the game will be released next year. While Tron: Evolution will serve as a prequel to the Tron: Legacy film when it comes to the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 next December.
