News: Reach for the first 'in-engine' footage from the biggest game of 2010.

The Spike TV Video Game Awards were last night and while my congratulations go out to the winners, the big news of the night was the twelve world premiere trailers that introduced us to 2010's most anticipated games.

The VGAs crowning world premiere was the first "in-engine" footage of Bungie's final Halo game, Halo: Reach. While not depicting any gameplay, the trailer does set the stage for the Master Chief's introduction on Reach and the beginnings of the entire Halo saga.

The Prince of Persia will be making his movie debut next May in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Because of that, Ubisoft has resurrected the Sands of Time trilogy and turned it into a tetralogy with next May's Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. The game's world premiere trailer showcased a crumbling kingdom and a character model for the Prince that bears more than a passing resemblance to Jake Gyllenhaal.

Finally, one of the biggest surprises of the night was the announcement of True Crime. Activision's open world franchise was abandoned back in 2005 after True Crime: New York City debuted to lackluster reviews and even worse sales. But the series will return next year with a new game developed by United Front Games (they are also working on ModNation Racers for the PS3). True Crime will be set in Hong Kong among an undercover operation to take down the Triad gang. No release date or platform details were announced.

But enough introduction, enjoy the trailers...
