News: New DS releases for $25 and big discounts on games bundled with plastic peripherals.

Another week, another great game sale as retailers do their best to woo shoppers to their store during the holiday season. This time it's Target and they have some great deals on the Nintendo Wii, bundled games like Tony Hawk: Ride and new DS releases.

According to Target's Sunday circular, the sale began yesterday and will run through Saturday, December 19. The highlight of the sale is the selection of DS games that have been reduced to $25. These bargains include such new releases as The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and more.

In all, 21 DS games have been marked down to $25 each:

  • Battle of Giants: Dragons
  • Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force
  • Imagine: Detective
  • Imagine: Sweet 16
  • Imagine: Teacher Class Trip
  • Jonas
  • Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days
  • The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
  • Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues
  • Lego Rock Band
  • Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
  • Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games
  • MySims Agents
  • Petz Fashion: Dogz & Catz
  • Phineas and Ferb
  • The Princess and the Frog
  • Spore Hero Arena
  • Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes
  • Style Savvy
  • TinkerBell and the Lost Treasure

There's a bargain to be had on that other handheld, the PSP, this week as well. Target has slashed 50% off of the price of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars and made it available for $19.99.

Target will also be discounting a variety of bundled games this week. For $88, gamers can scoop up one of the following bundles:

  • DJ Hero (PS3, Wii, Xbox 360)
  • Guitar Hero World Tour: Band Bundle (Xbox 360)
  • Rock Band 2: Special Edition (PS3, Xbox 360)
  • Tony Hawk: Ride (PS3, Wii, Xbox 360)

Finally, anyone in the market for a new DSi or Wii system will receive a free gift card with their purchase. If you buy a DSi system, Target will give you a $10 gift card, while purchasing a Wii console will net you a $30 gift card. This offer is only available in stores and, as always, quantities will be limited.

Once again, this sale runs through Saturday, December 19. Happy shopping.
