News: And to celebrate, the company is running another 'Spend $80, Get a $20 Credit' promotion.

Amazon has set up a page listing their yearly bestsellers in the video game category and, not surprisingly, the list is domninated by Nintendo's Wii. The Wii system itself took the overall top spot. It was flanked by the Wii Remote at #2, Wii MotionPlus at #3 and the Nunchuk at #4. Nintendo can also lay claim to the top-selling game on the list with New Super Mario Bros. Wii at #5. In fact, the only non-Wii product to crack the top ten is the Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 at #9.

While Amazon's list of bestsellers rarely matches up with sales figures for the whole industry, it is usually a pretty good barometer for what's getting rung up at cash registers across the country. It's also the strongest indicator yet that Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aime was right about his prediction of NSMBWii outselling MW2.

Parsed out into separate lists of games and systems/accessories, here are the topsellers from Amazon's 2009 Bestsellers in Video Games:

10. Halo 3: ODST (Xbox 360)

Here's the full list of Amazon's 2009 Bestsellers in Video Games and don't forget that Amazon is running another "Spend $80, Get a $20 Credit" promotion on a huge variety of the best games from 2009 including the Rabbids Go Home, Infamous, Borderlands, Lego Rock Band, God of War Collection and a ton more.

We'll have more on the year in games that was and the year in games that yet to be soon.
